انطلاق القمة النسوية بنسختها الثامنة في عدن .. توكد ضرورة حماية حقوق المرأة وتعزيز مشاركتها في السلام

نظمت مؤسسة وجود للأمن الإنساني، اليوم في العاصمة عدن، وبالتعاون مع الشركاء الدوليين الداعمين، القمة النسوية في نسختها الثامنة تحت شعار:
“قوتنا… نضالنا… جهودنا”،وذلك برعاية معالي رئيس الوزراء الأستاذ سالم صالح بن بريك، ووزير الدولة محافظ محافظة عدن الأستاذ أحمد حامد لملس.
و ألقت رئيسة مؤسسة وجود للأمن الإنساني ومنسقة القمة النسوية، الأستاذة مها عوض،الكلمة الافتتاحية، رحبت فيها بالحضور كافة، معربة عن سعادتها بمشاركتهم الفاعلة في هذا الحدث الهام ،كما و أكدت على أهمية تحويل التزامات تمكين المرأة إلى إجراءات ملموسة و تعزز مشاركتها في مسارات السلام وصنع القرار.
و رحبت عوض بالمشاركات والمشاركين، مشيرة إلى أن القمة تأتي هذا العام في ظل تصاعد التهديدات والعنف ضد النساء وتراجع التمثيل السياسي للمرأة، مؤكدة أن اليمن تعيش واقعا معقدا يتطلب مضاعفة الجهود لحماية الحقوق وتعزيز المشاركة الفاعلة للنساء في الحياة العامة.
Launch of the Eighth Edition of the Women’s Summit in Aden
Affirming the Need to Protect Women’s Rights and Enhance Their Participation in Peace

The “Wujood Foundation for Human Security” organized today in the capital Aden, in cooperation with supporting international partners, the eighth edition of the Women’s Summit under the slogan:
“Our Strength… Our Struggle… Our Efforts.”
The event was held under the auspices of the Prime Minister, Mr. Salem Saleh Bin Buraik, and the Minister of State, Governor of Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Maha Awad, Head of Wujood Foundation for Human Security and Coordinator of the Women’s Summit, welcomed all attendees, expressing her appreciation for their active participation in this important event. She emphasized the need to translate commitments to women’s empowerment into concrete actions that enhance their role in peace pathways and decision-making processes.
Awad welcomed the participants, noting that this year’s summit comes amid rising threats and violence against women and a decline in women’s political representation. She stressed that Yemen is experiencing a complex reality that requires intensified efforts to protect rights and strengthen women’s effective participation in public life.
