النساء في صدارة المشهد في القمة النسوية الثامنة… ترفع سقف مطالبهن في إشراكهن بالقرار السياسي

اختتمت اليوم في العاصمة عدن فعاليات القمة النسوية الثامنة التي نظمتها مؤسسة وجود للأمن الإنساني، بالشراكة مع هيئة الأمم المتحدة للمرأة وسفارة مملكة هولندا، تحت شعار “قوتنا… نضالنا… جهودنا”، بمشاركة واسعة شملت 240 من القيادات النسوية وممثلي منظمات المجتمع المدني والجهات الرسمية والدولية.

وخلال جلسة الختام، أكدت المشاركات على ضرورة تعزيز حماية حقوق المرأة، وتوفير بيئة آمنة تضمن مشاركتها الفاعلة في العمليات السياسية والاجتماعية، خاصة في ظل التحديات التي تمر بها البلاد.

كما شددت القمة على أهمية تمكين النساء والفتيات في مجالات القيادة وصنع القرار، ودعم المبادرات التي تسهم في تحقيق العدالة والمساواة، إلى جانب العمل على رفع الوعي المجتمعي بقضايا المرأة ومناهضة كافة أشكال العنف.

Women at the Forefront of the Eighth Women’s Summit… Raising the Bar for Political Participation

The eighth Women’s Summit concluded today in the capital city of Aden, organized by the Wujood Foundation for Human Security in partnership with UN Women and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, under the slogan “Our Strength… Our Struggle… Our Efforts.”
The event saw the participation of 240 women leaders, representatives of civil society organizations, and officials from national and international institutions.

During the closing session, participants emphasized the need to strengthen the protection of women’s rights and ensure a safe environment that enables their effective participation in political and social processes, especially amid the challenging circumstances facing the country.

The summit also highlighted the importance of empowering women and girls in leadership and decision-making roles, supporting initiatives that promote justice and equality, and raising community awareness on women’s issues while combating all forms of violence against women.
